My sister Margrethe.

This picture of my sister Margrethe was taken in 1999 and is from outside Colosseum (Flavian Ampitheatre), Rome.

Il Colosseo (the Colosseum), was built during the reign of Emperor Vespasiano c. 72 AD and dedicated in 80 AD by his son Titus. The original name of this ancient Roman sports arena, the largest arena of its kind, is The Amphitheatrum Flavium. The word Colosseum comes from a "colossal" statue of Nero that once stood near the stadium.

While stands the Coliseum,
Rome shall stand;
When falls the Coliseum,
Rome shall fall;
And when Rome falls
-- the world. --

Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage
